The FAA is finalizing plans to eliminate the plastic card pilot’s whip out to impress people.
Pilots have a hard time keeping it in their pants when proving themselves is on the line. Whipping it out is the time honored last resort to demonstrate pilot status when the enormous wristwatch and aviator sunglasses have been overlooked. Let’s face it, when you are trying to close the deal at a bar, whipping it out could make or break your chances depending upon how your capabilities are viewed.
