Clouds to Throw Surprise Party at 3,000 Feet for Student on First Solo Cross Country

THE SKY – Jennifer Ryans, 19, is about to embark on one of the greatest adventures as a student pilot – her first solo cross country. With a forecast of clear skies and calm winds, she couldn’t ask for a better setup. Little does she know, however, that some old friends are planning to give her quite the surprise after she gets out from under the Bravo shelf and turns south for her climb to 5,500 ft.

“We heard about her big day and are just so excited for her!” said area cloud, Cumulus. “We really wanted to do something special to show our support. Last I heard, everyone is coming – Mammatus, Lenticular, Nimbus and his posse… I even heard Fog was going to make an appearance! Man, is she going to be surprised. I can’t wait to see the look on her face when she turns to our heading and sees us all there cheering her on!”

Cumulus said the plan is to immediately surround her for a big group hug before saying their goodbyes.
